Woven Voices: Emerging Designers from FHNW Masterstudio

Photography: Shiny Vallenas & Matthieu Croizier

Students of the Masterstudio Fashion Design programme share a common intention: to make fashion a meaningful language: one that connects, questions, heals, and transforms. Their approaches are deeply personal and unapologetically diverse.

From celebrating the shifting realities of life, to reclaiming space for underrepresented identities; from honoring craft and memory, to embracing fluidity and joy: their work reflects a desire to stay grounded in values, and to open space for others to do the same.

I do this because it’s who I am — I live for it (and sometimes hate it too). But fashion is destiny. On god. – Leonardo VNIĆ

My designs celebrate all body types with movement, play, and freedom. I want fashion to be a space where beauty has no rules — where everyone feels seen, strong, and valued.

I want fashion to keep me curious and excited. My handmade designs — from braided heels to sparkling bags — celebrate joy, sensuality, and care. For me, fashion is like a hairstyle for the body. – Elvira Grau

My work uses design as a quiet but strong way to explore questions. Feminine shapes and storytelling are at the heart of what I create — with hope that they speak to others, too. – Jill Ann Eiholzer

We use fashion to explore and question the world around us. Through collaboration across jewelry, garments, sound, and movement, we tell stories and make space — especially for what doesn’t usually fit. – Laura Desch & Sarah Luethi; Noerah coming soon
