Inés Maestre and Sara Bastai present Unchained Melody, an evolving series that revolves around jewellery by Zelda Passini and reflects on the sensation of touch: how we interact with surfaces, materials, and loved ones when we are deprived of close encounters and proximity. Through a combination of the elements of digital painting and photography, Ines and Sara force their viewer to register touch through a sense of longing—leading to a profound realization that, after some time, intimacy can transform into grief.
