Milan Design Week by Juliana Neira

"I’ve been experiencing Milan Design Week for more than ten years, from almost every angle: as a student, a journalist, an exhibitor, and at times, even as a buyer.
For those familiar with one of the most inspiring, and overwhelming, design weeks, there’s a certain discipline to it. You accept the 20,000 steps, the missed exhibitions, the occasional disappointment. You accept that you won’t see everything.
But you keep looking. Because the most interesting discoveries rarely sit under the biggest names- they tend to appear elsewhere.
This year I had just two days. Sunday was for friends and their shows, Monday for work, with a small detour into art, because some weeks refuse to stay inside a single category.
Six stops, two perspectives, and this is what stayed with me."
