AllTogether by the Tom of Finland Foundation and Diesel at the Community Centre
PHOTOGRAPHY AND WORDS Jasmine Wong
For the first time outside of Los Angeles, the Tom of Finland Foundation is presenting their permanent collection of works spanning from the 1940's until present day. The Foundation itself have had continuous revolving exhibitions within its house, in which The Community Centre saw, and persisted to bring to Europe. Bringing Diesel on board as a sponsor, this touching exhibition was then made possible.
The AllTogether exhibition celebrates erotic art by queer artists that have come and go from the residency of the Tom House. Conjointly named the Echo Park house, it was home to Tom and Durk Dehner (co-founder of the Foundation), and to many who sought for a safe haven. Their purpose of togetherness and community is translated throughout the exhibition with works that continue to raising awareness. The exhibition is open to all at The Community Centre until the 26th of June.
